HTML and CSS Templates

HTML and CSS templates can save a lot of time and effort in setting up a website. Free website templates are abundant on the Internet and the choice can often be overwhelming and sometimes frustrating. The important points to bear in mind when choosing a template are:

They need to be CSS and XHTML compliant
They must be SEO friendly
They must be easy to customise

For new sites it makes sense to use the latest standards, and for them to be seen by visitors, they must be optimised for search engines (SEO). In addition, they must be easy for users to customise - not only the content, but the layout and colours etc. After all, someone may not want to use a template exactly as it is that another 1000 people are going to use.

The templates here are just that: templates. You can play around with them, alter colours, fonts, images, etc. They are all XHTML and CSS compliant, and all are SEO friendly (for example they load any page content prior to any navigation or sidebars). Simply click on the relevant download buttons and save the template(s) to your PC (these download as a zip file that can then be un-zipped).
